I watch soccer once in a while, I enjoy it, but I am not really a fan. However, this 3-minute video ad from Nike for the World Cup makes me want to be a fan. It even has Homer Simpson in it. Epic win.

I believe it is going to happen. As what every analyst is saying, there is just too much money for everyone involved for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight not to push through. But, let me add my voice to the growing worlwide opinion that Mayweather is being a wuss, and is trying, again, to duck a fighter who he thinks can make him look bad, tarnish his unbeaten record, and beat his ass. That is how he keeps his unblemished record, by walking away from good prime fighters in his league (Cotto, Margarito, Mosley). Marquez? I said “in his league.”

Having said that, let me also add my bewilderment on why Team Pacquiao, and even Manny himself, refuses to just grow up and get on with it. If they really want the fight, then go ahead and do the drug test … and then whip Mayweather’s ass. Manny WILL beat him, have no doubt about that.  He can do just about anything he wants to inside that ring. I don’t think Arum is making the decision, I seriously think it is Pacquiao’s team. Arum will bend over backwards three times if Manny asks him to, and I think he is just abiding by what Manny wants in this situation.

This is a fight made by the boxing fans. We have been clamoring for it … and not the type of “clamor” presidentiables claim to hear when they decide to run. That is just hearing voices, this is the real one.
